Overview	:	Laxmibai recalls Gangadhar saying that he would never touch English medicines, so she declines the doctor's help. Laxmibai says that she is sure there must be some Indian who will cure her son. Just then, Laddi arrives and displays her antics. Damodar smiles and Laxmibai rewards Laddi. Laxmibai asks Laddi to stay in the palace so that Damodar can recover fully. Meanwhile, an enraged Bakshish Ali is refused permission to meet Laxmibai, so he turns violent. The Prime Minister and Moropant go to meet the angry mob who demand the blood of the missionaries. Laxmibai then declares that the missionaries must leave Jhansi if its subjects were unhappy. However, she asserts that they would not be harmed as long as they were in Jhansi. On the other hand, Hugh Rose refuses to save the missionaries.
